


Thomas brings a blend of international playing experience, academic excellence, and proven coaching leadership to every program he leads. Currently serving as Director of Coaching for Pittsburgh Independence FC, he continues to shape high-performing athletes and competitive teams. Prior to that, Thomas guided BVB International Academy Pittsburgh and Allegheny Force FC, leading teams to a Regional Championship, three State Cup titles, three State Cup Final appearances, and numerous elite tournament championships.
Before his coaching career, Thomas competed at an elite level, representing the St. Lucia U17 National Team, playing in the St. Lucia National League, and earning honors as part of the St. Lucia U18 National Champions. He later continued his playing career at Baruch College, where he also completed a Bachelor’s degree in Finance & Investment Analysis. Along with his Director of Coaching Diploma and USSF National C License, Thomas holds a Master of Business Administration from Point Park University, combining his passion for soccer with a strong foundation in leadership, strategy, and team development.

Deo Alexander brings a wealth of experience as both a player and coach, combining a deep knowledge of the game with a passion for developing young athletes. He currently serves as a Head Coach for the Pittsburgh Independence FC, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and building confident, competitive players.
Deo began his coaching career at Point Park University as an Assistant Coach for both the Men’s and Women’s programs. He then joined AFFC, working with U11 boys, U10 boys, and U13–U14 girls teams, eventually guiding squads to two State Cup Final appearances. He later served as Head Coach at BVB International Academy Pittsburgh. He also holds a USSF. National D License and coaches both boys and girls futsal, helping players sharpen their technical skills in fast-paced, small-sided games.
As a player, Deo was a four-year standout at Point Park University, earning three All-American honors.. Deo combines his personal playing experience with strategic coaching knowledge to develop players who are not only skilled but also confident, disciplined, and passionate about the game.

Courtney Wright brings over 15 years of coaching experience to every team he leads, combining technical expertise with a passion for player development. He currently serves as Head Coach for Pittsburgh Independence FC, where he focuses on developing skilled, confident, and motivated players.
Courtney previously coached at BVB International Academy Pittsburgh, guiding boys and girls across multiple age groups in both soccer and futsal. A holder of a USSF National C License, he has extensive experience in creating training environments that emphasize skill development, tactical understanding, and a love for the game.
With a career dedicated to nurturing talent, Courtney is committed to helping players grow both on and off the field, fostering teamwork, discipline, and a lifelong passion for soccer.
